The Maserati E-Scooter is a product of an eight-month project that spanned across Denmark, Italy, and Croatia. The initial sketches were crafted in Denmark, the 3D files were worked out in Italy, and the final prototype was approved in Croatia by the Diavelo design studio. The design team, including Brian Hoehl, Sasa Stih, and Ivan Saba, faced the challenge of integrating the electronic systems and lights into the scooter's design.
What sets this electric scooter apart is its unique properties. The scooter is lightweight and easy to operate, making it a convenient choice for urban mobility. It is also easy to carry around, thanks to its foldable design facilitated by a quick-release system. When folded, the scooter measures 70 x 10 x 20 cm, making it compact enough to fit in the trunk of a car.
The design of the scooter is a blend of high-end aluminium and carbon, reflecting the luxurious and technological DNA of Maserati. The 10-inch wheels add to the scooter's robustness and stability. The scooter's style is inspired by the combination of Maserati cars and the concept of a trimaran design, making it a truly unique product in the market.
Research conducted by the design team revealed that business people often park far away from work in bigger cities. This insight led to the development of this small electric vehicle, designed to be used for the last mile or kilometer. The scooter can be conveniently placed and recharged in the car's trunk, making it an ideal solution for urban commuters.
The Maserati E-Scooter is not just a product of innovative design and technology, but also a recipient of prestigious recognition. It was awarded the Golden A' Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Design Award in 2018, a testament to its outstanding design and trendsetting creation. The award celebrates products and ideas that advance art, science, design, and technology, embodying extraordinary excellence and significantly impacting the world with their desirable characteristics.
